Post subject: EGLM MK13 Mod 0 By STAR Mini Review

Well I had a review all writen up and my computer dumped on me so I don't feel like writing it again so this will serve as a mini review.
Weights about 4.5 pounds, folded its 20 1/2" and fully extended its 26 1/2" long.
Plasitcs are nice, has some seem lines but feels and looks good to the touch. All black parts are metal except the plastic trigger loop and rubber butt pad, also the black ridged thing that goes above the trigger (don't know what its called or for). Also the rails on the stand alone stock seem to be CNC Aluminum and has a good tan to dark earth color to it.
It breaks down like the real one except the barrel. The barrel requires removing the ring on the front (like the real one) then removing a small pin on the left side of the handguard. The barrel is also in two peices and screws together in the center. Don't know if its mine or all but on mine where the two barrel halfs screw together they havea 2 to 3mm gap. Its noticable if you look hard enough down the barrel but does not interfer with anything. There is no rifling on the barrel its just a smooth barrel. They also reproduced the barrel locking lugs and they work like the real one as well which is vary nice.
So far I have put two types of madbul grenades, 1 CAW, and 1 King arms in and they all fit tight and nice. Work just fine as well.
To the bad stuff now. I am sure its the same problem with the M203 but its still a problem none the less. The loner 40mm's like the KA one I have take some time to get out as you have to pull the catch, that grabs the shell to pull it out of the barrel when opened, with your finger nail cause its too long to come out on its own.
Also the barrel has a little play to it and some times (but vary rare) the lugs will be ever so slighty off and the barrel lugs will not engauge with the revier lugs. I have had the launcher for a couple months now and only had it happen 2 times.
If you fire the launcher sideways with the right side of the EGLM down then the trigger safety from gravity gets pulled towards the safe position just enough to cause the trigger to be jerky.
Thats about all I can think of off the top of my head quickly. If you want something that looks nice and works great then this is a good EGLM to get. If you want something that will break down exactly like the real one, have a once piece barrel, as well as having rifling groves then you will probably want to wait for the VFC to come out.
Any questions just ask. I had hopes to answer all questions with the review but since it took a crap I don't feel like typing it all neatly out again.
Enjoy the pictures as well.
